KADCA Paintball 28th August

Paintballing - faster than Badminton Paintballing - faster than Badminton

KADCA Badminton Club will be moving off the court to a forest somewhere in the hills of Wicklow to try Paintball.

A shuttlecock, struck by one of the top players in the world with a modern racquet, can travel up to 200 mph. Not bad for a piece of equipment made from sticking goose feathers into a piece of cork.

A paintball pellet can travel as fast as 425 feet per second (which by my calculations works out at approximately 290 mph), most manufacturers quote the ideal speed for their guns to be in the 280-300 fps range.  So in fact if you play Badminton you'll be fine because the pellets will be travelling slower than a shuttlecock.  One thing missing however, your racket.

Come and join the KADCA crew on the 28th August as we run amok the Dublin mountains, hiding in bushes, digging fox-holes and generally causing chaos.
